The 2018 Indoor Track Season will start this Saturday at Ball State University.  Burris HS will sponsor the event on the campus of BSU.  Doors will open at 11am for the General Public and Teams.  Admission is $5 for all non-team members.  Any members riding the bus will receive free admission.

Order of Events:

12:00 pm – Women’s Pole Vault, Cafeteria style Long Jump, Men’s Shot Put and Women’s High Jump

 Running events will start at completion of Long Jump and Pole Vault – 3200, 60 hurdles, 60 dash, 4 x 800, 4 x 200, 4 x 400, DMR (1200, 400, 800, 1600).

We will use a rolling start with the girls running first followed by the boys. Eight athletes may be entered per relay (four competing).

Opening Heights:

Pole Vault 6’ 0” Girls (first) and 10’0” Boys (following girls)

High Jump 4’6” girls (first), Boys 5’4” (following girls).

Minimum Measure:

Long Jump 13’ 0” Girls and 17’0” Boys. Cafeteria style with three attempts.

Shot Put 25’ Girls (following the boys) and 30’ Boys (first) with three attempts.

Every athlete with a legal attempt, will receive at least one measured attempt regardless of the distance. After one measured attempt, only attempts beyond minimum measurement will be marked.

Warm – ups

Warm-ups are to be completed in the turf building but no food or drink is allowed in this area. Team camps will be set up on basketball court down the hall and no locker rooms will be available. Ball State University is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

No spikes will be allowed on the grey surface of this facility or in the hallways. We appreciate your assistance in making sure your athletes do not wear their spikes outside of the track.

No outside food or drink will be allowed inside the track and field facility. Water will be provided for athletes and concessions will be available to purchase onsite.

Team and spectator restrooms will be located on arena concourse. Restrooms near track are reserved for elderly or spectators with special ambulatory needs.  Go Raiders!
