The Wapahani Boys and Girls Track Team traveled to Ball State University on Saturday for their 1st Indoor Track Meet of the Year. The Boys and Girls track team competed at the Burris Owl Invite located at Ball State University. The day started off with a new school record by Senior Nathan Brant in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.38 seconds. Other individuals with a new PR were Junior Taylor Johns (Shot), Senior Nathan Herbst (3200), Freshman Kianna Wilson (60 hurdles), Sophomore Abby Vannatter (60), Freshman Walker Cook (60), Junior Ethan Dunnuck (60) and Junior Allen Sewell (Shot). Top finishers were Senior Nathan Herbst 1st place in 3200, Senior Alex Herbst 2nd place in 3200, Boys DMR (Nathan Herbst, Alex Herbst, Blake Ellis, and Andrew Shrock) 1st place, Girls 4×800 (Olivia Neal, Sydney Cook, Lexi Wulff, and Jasmine Mountcastle) 1st place, and Sophomore Abby Vannatter 2nd place in high jump. The track team’s next meet is this Saturday at IWU in Marion, IN. Great Start to the Spring Season Raiders.
