It was a lively match on the turf at Mississinewa High School. The Indians struck 8 minutes into the match to make the score 1-0. Easton Heffernan left his line to come up with a huge save midway through the first half to keep the Raiders within striking distance. The Raiders equalized on a Sofani Buck sizzling free kick from just outside the 18 yard box with 22 minutes remaining in the half. The Raiders played with 10 men after receiving a red card with two minutes remaining in the first half. Wapahani Coach Vince Bohannon adjusted the formation in the second half down a man playing 10 vs 11. The back line bent but never broke in spite of being repeatedly tested by the Indian attack. Heffernan was excellent in goal and the back line was stingy as Wapahani parked the bus the entire second half. The Raiders escaped with a 1-1 draw. Their record moves to 2-4-3 on the season.
Thank you Mr. Buck for the awesome recap!
