Softball Starts the MEC at 1-0

The Lady Raider Softball team defeated Daleville on Friday night 5-0. The win improves them to 4-1 and 1-0 in the MEC for the year. Kaija Aikman was outstanding with 15 strikeouts. Annie Shuck went 3-3 on the day with a double and 3 RBI’s.

Boys Golf have Their First Match

Boys golf lost their season opener to Jay County 171-167. Connor Hensley and Bryant Woodard both shot a team best 40. The Boys are back in action Saturday at the Monroe Central Invitational at 10am.

Baseball Moves to 5-0

The Wapahani Baseball team moved to 5-0 with a 13-3, 5 inning home win against Jay County. The Raiders were led by Grant Thompson who went 4-4 at the plate with 5 RBI’s. Zach Thompson had another good outing on the mound pitching 5 innings and giving up only one earned run while striking out

Boys & Girls Track Earn Victories

The Boys and Girls Track Teams were victorious in a Fatal Four Way Meet against Blue River, Union City and Seton last night. First place finishers for the girls were Taylor Johns in the Shot Put and Discus and the 4×800 Relay team. Winners for the boys included Bryce Witter in Shot Put and Discus,

Cheer Tryouts

Cheer tryouts will be Monday, April 18th 6-8pm at Wapahani, Tuesday, April 19th 6-8pm, and Wednesday, April 20th 4-6pm.  Please make plans to attend tryouts if interested in cheering next season.

Softball Bats Come Alive in an Extra Inning Win

The Raider bats came alive in extra innings as they defeated Shenandoah 13-4. With the game tied at 2 all going into the 10th inning wapahani bats woke up and belted out 11 runs in the inning. With bases loaded Annie Schuck hit a bases clearing double to score the first 3 runs of the 10th.

Softball Drops a Close One

Wapahani scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Raiders fell to Tri 4-3. Kaija Aikman threw a complete game, striking out seven while allowing no earned runs. Zoey Knuckles went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Kerri Meyers went 2-for-3. The Lady Raiders return to action tonight

Baseball Wins Again

The baseball team defeated Blue River last night 10 – 0 to improve to 4 – 0 on the season and 2 – 0 in MEC play. The boys are back in action on Thursday (4/14) at home against Jay County.

Boys Track Starts the Season

The Wapahani Boys Track Team ran well but lost their season opener last night against Daleville and Muncie Burris. Winners for the boys included Bryce Witter in Discus, Drew Barber in High Jump and Alex Herbst in the 3200. The track team runs next at home Thursday (4/11).
